There are many scenarios when investors want or need to compare their portfolio strategies to customised benchmarks, that are more suitable or applicable for their portfolios. Examples are when the portfolio includes different asset classes, or when the portfolio is a customised version of a model portfolio, etc.
In Diversiview, you can define your own benchmark in 3 simple steps:
A) Create the portfolio that you want to use later as benchmark, using one of the provided options: manually, import from CSV or import from a broker or platform.
B) In your dashboard, flag the portfolio created as Benchmark using the B icon on the portfolio record.
C) Find the custom benchmark portfolio in the list of benchmarks available in the Backtest function.
Note that information about the benchmark Maximum drawdown and Recovery time is also available in the Backtest screen.
